User groups are the easiest way to find someone at UofT who uses a particular piece of equipment. Whether you are dealing with a technical issue or want to try an experiment, groups can connect you with someone locally who may be able to help sooner than a company technician. The biggest benefit is in sharing expertise and consulting with someone who could have overcome similar technical issues before.
