Join the U of T optics community on our Slack workspace! Open to current and prospective graduate students as well as faculty and staff, our Slack workspace is a space to keep up to date on everything optics and photonics related at U of T. The workspace contains information on upcoming events, seminars, and social activities and provides a platform to connect with other students and specialized user groups, including a Q&A forum for any optics or photonics-related questions you may have!
How to Join the Slack Workspace
- If you have a U of T email address, use this link to join the workspace directly. Step by step instructions for joining the group can be found below.

After confirming your email address you will be asked to create a user name and password for the Slack group. Even if you already have a Slack account, you will still need to enter a new password to join the group.
If the extension of your U of T email address is not present, please contact us at utos@physics.utoronto.ca to have it added. Once your email address has been submitted you will receive a confirmation email.
You will then be redirected to the UTOS Community Page and will be able to participate in all available channels! You can do this from the browser, or install the Slack application if you prefer.
